3D Glasses

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

A few words on my mashup (*buzzword shuddder*). This morning, Trey and I saw a wired.com article about the media implications of the White House photostream on flickr and how it compares to other candid presidential photography. The photostream contained this picture of Barack and Michelle watching a 3D movie. Of course our minds immediately conjured up the classic LIFE magazine cover of the audience enraptured by their 3D movie experience.

I chopped together a quick version of inserting Obama into the LIFE cover and Trey sent it to Wired. Who’s response was “hey, that’s cool, got a larger version?”

An hour later we sent back a bigger version, and they posted it as an addendum to the original article about the photostream.

Joey Potts Archival Prints

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008
Our buddy Joey Potts has just issued “a limited edition number of signed, archival giclee prints” through freshlydipped.com — Most of these amazing looking prints are taken from pieces he debuted at the 32nd & Urban Gallery just two months ago. Having seen most of these pieces up close, I’m here to tell you the colors are brain melting and the fine details on pieces like A Sudden Change of Events are impressive even if you could care less about a brush stroke. Click The Image for the Full Available Gallery of Joey Potts’ work.
